General Information
What is Beta Club?
Rose Hill-Magnolia Beta Club is part of the National Junior Beta Club, which is a prestigious organization for students who demonstrate academic excellence, worthy character, and commendable attitude.
Who can join Beta Club?
4th-8th grade students who have at least a 90 average and no grade lower than 80 on their previous grade end of year Report Card or on their 1st semester grades, are invited to join. 4th-5th graders join Elementary Beta and 6th-8th graders join Junior Beta.
What do you have to do to stay in Beta Club?
Beta Club members are expected to maintain at least a 90 average each grading period with no grade lower than 80. If a member's average falls below 90 or they earn a grade lower than 80, they will be placed on probation. If this happens a second time, they will be out of Beta Club for the remainder of the year.
A member will also be taken out of the Beta Club if he/she is suspended from the bus OR school, referred to the office twice, bounced from their classroom twice, or if the Principal and Beta Club Sponsors agree that a member’s actions have been severe enough to warrant such a decision.
What does the Beta Club do?
Beta Club's Motto is - "Let us lead by serving others." This explains the club's mission. Members will participate in service projects that benefit the school, teachers, students, and the community. Members will also learn how to improve themselves through leadership training.
